The German Commission on Radiological Protection advises the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) on issues concerning the protection from the risks of ionising and non-ionising radiation.
Membership is an honorary personal office. Members are appointed by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety.
They are independent and not bound by directive. As a result of its advisory activity, SSK decides on statements and recommendations. Results adopted by majority vote are published by the competent Federal Ministry and on www.ssk.de.

Wytek is a French company that designed an innovative method for measuring ionizing radiation. This new concept is based on wireless sensors called TeleRadiameters only manufactured by Wytek. The sensors TeleRadiameters transmit their data in a synchronized manner to any kind of computers or the cloud using gateways also designed by Wytek. The software Wytek Studio “Dosimetry Edition” displays measurements in real time and processes data in order to analyse common or unusual situations related to radiation protection. TeleRadiameters measure environmental radioactivity (H*10), they are used for specific studies such as Scanners, X-ray rooms… or for monitoring ambiant radioactivity in real time over several month or years. Only few minutes are needed to install this system, during the measurement steps, the staff is not disturbed and can work as usually.
