Poster Awards
Posters will provide essential contributions to the Congress. Ample space and time will be allocated for poster viewing and discussions with the authors. A time schedule for the presence of each author at her/his poster will facilitate the discussions.
Refreshments will be served close to the poster presentations. In order to emphasize the importance of the poster presentations and to encourage authors a prize will be awarded to the three best presentations. The IRPA 2014 Poster
Award Committee will be responsible for selecting these posters.

Young Scientist Awards
Ensuring competence in the field of radiation safety requires the education and encouragement of qualified professionals and trainees. The promotion of young scientists and professionals is therefore of high importance for the European IRPA societies. To this end the societies participating in the organisation of the Congress offer an award for the best scientific or professional contribution(s).
National societies will be responsible for the nomination of their candidate; they are expected to support the participation of the candidate in the congress. The nomination of candidates must be submitted to the IRPA 2014 Young Scientist and Professional Award Committee before January 15, 2014. The nomination must be accompanied by an abstract, a CV and an explanatory statement from the nominating society. The presentation will be integrated into the scientific programme with an oral presentation of their paper at the Congress. The Young Scientist and Professional Award Committee will elect the award winning contribution. The Young Scientist and Professional Award Committee is free to award more than one contribution. The award will carry remuneration. For inquiries and nominations contact the chairman of Young Scientist and Professional Award Committee, Alfred Hefner, via e-mail:
